    Course Overview

    The Hands-on Introduction to Engineering Simulations programme is problem-based, and candidates will learn by doing. They will be using a powerful and versatile tool from ANSYS, Inc. to perform engineering simulations. They will be using a common approach to solve problems that involve different branches of Physics (structural mechanics, heat transfer, and fluid dynamics). The programme focuses on moving beyond garbage-in, garbage-out, and understanding what is under the black-box.

    Learners will be solving textbook examples to understand the fundamentals of computational fluid dynamics and finite-element analysis. They will then put these principles to practise and simulate real-world examples (a wind turbine rotor and a bolted rocket assembly).

    By working with real-world examples and using a leading simulation tool used by professionals, the Hands-on Introduction to Engineering Simulations training will help learners move beyond button pushing and encourage them to start thinking like experts.
