    GGSIPU Delhi Admission Process

    Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), Delhi admissions are offered in various programmes through different universities and their affiliations. Moreover, students can take GGSIPU admissions in a wide variety of courses by appearing for different national-level entrance tests according to the programme they want to opt for. For some courses, students need to appear for common entrance tests also which are conducted either by the university itself or designated authorities that are recognised by the Indraprastha University. The institution offers a wide selection of undergraduate courses, postgraduate courses, vocational courses, and doctoral programmes in a plethora of streams like life sciences, architecture, engineering, law, and much more.

    In addition to the above, the programmes offered by Indraprastha University are approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC).     • B.Tech aspirants have to apply for JEE Main and obtain a valid score.

    • Fill out the exam form and pay the required exam fee and appear for CET for the rest of the courses.

    • Submit your JEE/CET scores on the official website of GGSIPU.

    • Keep yourself updated with the counselling sessions as after getting selected based on your score, you’ll have to go through online counselling sessions which have three rounds.

    • A seat will be allotted to you during the counselling sessions, after which you’ll have to pay the course fee along with all the documents within the given time frame.

    • The documents will be verified before enrollment. 

    For GGSIPU B.Arch Admission Process

    • B.Arch aspirants have to appear in the NATA Examination of the Council of Architecture

    Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University PG Admission Steps

    • Students need to appear for the required national-level entrance examination (GATE for M.Tech and CAT for MBA) by applying for it and making the fee payment.

    • Then, candidates have to submit the GGSIPU application form and apart from M.Tech and MBA programme candidates have to appear for CET.

    • If a student has cleared the cutoff, he or she gets called for counselling sessions. 

    • You should keep in mind that students with CAT/GATE scores are prioritized during the selection process for MBA and M.Tech. If the seats stay vacant after that, then CET is conducted and further selection is based on that.

    • Students need to stay updated with the counselling schedule.

    • If you get selected during counselling you need to submit the course fee in addition to the required documents in a stipulated time frame for further verification. 

    • For MBA in Disaster Management - marks secured in the qualifying examination on 100 point scale and personal interview are considered. Also, one mark each for an additional year is also added. A merit list is made based on all the three criteria. Shortlisted students have to submit documents for verification and make fee payment as well.

    • For MBA Sectorial Specialization - Candidates have to appear in the qualifying examination and personal interview. Based on the score, merit list is created and shortlisted students have to submit documents and make fee payment to reserve their seats.

    3: Is IPU CET easier than JEE Mains?

    5: Can I get admission to IPU without an entrance exam?

    No, candidates can not get admission to IPU without an entrance exam. Candidates willing to take admission to the GGSIPU courses need to appear in the programme-specific entrance examination. After which a merit list is prepared by the exam conducting body. Candidates whose names are on the merit list, need to complete the counselling and admission process.

    6: Is there any age limit for IPU?

    Yes, there is an age limit for admission to the IPU courses. For all UG courses, the candidate’s age should not be more than 21 years. For all other PG courses, the candidate's age should not be mode than 35 years. For MBBS and BDS courses, the candidate's age should not be more than 25 years. And for the BVoc course, the candidate's age should not be more than 45 years as on August 1, 2023.

    7: Is JEE required for IPU?

    Yes, JEE is required for admission to the BTech courses of IPU. Admission in all BTech courses except BTech Biotechnology is through the JEE Main score. Interested candidates must qualify for JEE Main with a valid score and apply for admission. The university prepares a merit list on the basis of candidates' scores in JEE Main. Students will be called for counselling and admission on the basis of the merit list.
