The course syllabus has been developed by IIT Guwahati in association with Swayam.

Advanced Soil Mechanics is a twelve-week long course that employs assignments and a final exam to motivate students and help them evaluate their progress. The course also offers an e-certificate which will be awarded after completing the course successfully. While all the lectures will be held online, the exam will be held in person at the various designated exam centers.

Eligibility Criteria

Evaluation process

Advanced Soil Mechanics training has an e-certificate which will be awarded to participants who fulfill the below-given criteria. Participants must submit all the completed assignments as they carry 25% of the final score. 8 of the 12 best assignments will be taken into consideration. Participants must also appear for a final exam which carries 75% of the final score. The final score will be the summation of the exam score and the assignment score. The passing score is 40/100.

However, there is an additional condition. Participants who score less than 10/25 in assignments or less than 30/75 in the final exam will forfeit their certification. This condition supersedes the final calculated score, even if it is above 40/10.
