Presidency College offers a variety of undergraduate, postgraduate & doctorate programmes to prospective students in all three streams Humanities, Commerce and Science. There are a total of 94 courses offered at Presidency College inclusive of all undergraduate and postgraduate and doctorate courses. The degrees offered at the UG level are B.A., B.Sc. and B.Com. Presidency College courses are offered in various degrees such as M.A., M.Com, M.Sc. & M.C.A. at the postgraduate level. All the courses in the college are offered in two shifts. The eligibility criteria for all UG programme requires the student to at least secure passing marks in the 12th class. At the Presidency College Chennai Ph.D and M.Phil, courses are also offered under various disciplines some of which are chemistry, commerce, computer science, economics, English, geography, geology, history etc.

PRESIDENCY COLLEGE CHENNAI stands 5th in NIRF ranking. It is one of the top colleges and highly demanded one. It is NAAC B++ college which is a government one.
The admission here is based on merits. You have to apply the form. and complete the procedure. The admission is purely based on merits. The  eligibility for the course is -
The candidate must have successfully completed 10 + 2 minimum 50% aggregate marks from a recognized college/ university. The minimum age must be 17 years.
Most of the students here are TAMILIANS, but other state students can definitely take admission here.
