Dr D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune was established in the year 2003. Dr D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune is also known as DPU Pune. Dr D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune sponsored by Dr D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth Society, Pune, was declared as “Deemed-to-be-University” under Section 3 of UGC Act 1956 in 2003. It is located in Pimpri, in the city of Pune. The Deemed-to-be-University is recognised by UGC. DPU Pune campus was spread over an area of 43 acres. The total number of faculty there at DPU is 624. Dr D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune has collaborated with various national, international institutes and industries. DPU Pune has collaborations with institutes like Johns Hopkins University, Thammasat University, University of Edinburgh Napier University, Hong Kong University, Agharkar Research Institute, Pune; National AIDS Research Institute, Pune; National Institute of Virology, Pune; Chest Research Foundation, Pune and many other institutes. Dr DY Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune offers scholarships to meritorious students studying in the full-time undergraduate course. It provides the funds for the scholarship from its own pool of resources. The DPU Merit Scholarship Scheme's major goals are to help bright students succeed in their studies and construct their own futures by providing them with financial incentives in the form of scholarships. The objective of this DPU Pune scholarship scheme is to attract talented students who want to continue their education while also strengthening their basic knowledge. Dr DY Patil Vidyapeeth Pune reserves the right to award the scholarship at its sole discretion. If a student's academic performance is below expectations, he or she will not be eligible for the DPU Pune scholarship. If a student fails two years in a row in his or her exams, his or her scholarship will be revoked. If a student receives any form of financial aid or help from another source then that student is ineligible for the DPU Pune scholarship. The selected students will be paid directly by the finance section of Dr DY Patil Vidyapeeth Pune into a bank account registered in their name by the students. Good and big campus, good infrastructure and good class with smart board and very well maintained water ro system and canteen and mess very well managed and hygienic. class room and campus clean and regularly manage by staff

W cannot say it as the best but yes it's one of the better institutions as per it's teaching faculty as well as placement opportunities. Branches like CS and IT have brilliant placements from there. But if you were to find the best college in pune for btech then you must try for PUNE ENGINEERING COLLEGE.
