Eligibility Criteria (UG & PG) of Graphic Designing
Graphic Designing students must meet certain basic prerequisites in order to get admitted to the college of their choosing. This is the absolute minimum that the student must meet; else, the student's application would be denied. The following are the prerequisites for enrolling in graphic design courses and also in online graphic design courses: -
Eligibility Criteria UG Courses
The aspiring candidates must have procured a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in 10+2 level from any recognised board.
The candidates can be exempt from the entrance exam for B.Des. if they have a valid NATA score.
Top Entrance Exams for UG Courses
NID Entrance Exam- It is a Design Aptitudes Test conducted by the National Institute of Design for providing admission to the aspirants at UG and PG levels. Candidates need to clear two NID entrance exams to get admission to the 7 NID campuses. The exam is conducted in offline mode. It is held in June- August.
UCEED: The exam is administered by the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, under the supervision of the UCEED Admissions committee. It is a nationwide entrance examination for undergraduate design programmes. Students who pass the entrance exam with the required score will be accepted into the B.Des programme. On the basis of the rank, admission would be provided to several participating universities such as IIITDM Jabalpur, IIT Bombay, and IIT Guwahati. All Indian and international national applicants are eligible to take the UCEED exam.
Eligibility Criteria for PG Courses
A candidate must graduate in Bachelors of Design (B.Des).
A student is required to clear the entrance exam with the required cut-off marks decided by the College or University to secure their admission into M.Des (Master of Design).
Top Entrance Exams for PG Courses
AIEED - It is an entrance exam conducted by Arch School of design and business for providing admission in UG & PG courses. The exam is held in two stages: CAT(CREATIVE APTITUDE TEST) and GAT (GENERAL APTITUDE TEST). The exam is conducted in both online and offline mode. It is generally held in the month of March-April.
Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED): CEED is an entrance examination for admission in the M.Des programme. Before appearing for the Common Entrance Examination for Design, candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in Agriculture/Engineering/Design. The language of the CEED examination is English. The paper will be divided into two parts. Part A has objective type questions and Part B of the paper consists of design and hand-drawn type questions.
