About Presidency College, Chennai
On the 15th of October 1840, Presidency College started as a preparatory school in a leased building in Egmore known as Edinburgh Home. The autonomous college is ranked AIR 7th by NIRF 2021 for college ranking. The 2020 NIRF ranking of the college was 5th in the college category. Presidency College is affiliated with Madras University. This College is accredited by NAAC (With Grade B++) and the score is 2.58. The co-ed college is spread across 35 acres in Chennai. The college offers 94 courses at the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctorate levels. Most of the programmes are offered in both English and Tamil at Presidency College. Presidency College Infrastructure and Facilities
Presidency College facilities and basic necessities are provided to all the students so that they can learn new things with ease. The basic facility at Presidency College includes a functional library, medical facility and sports grounds for games like handball. There are two hostels on the Presidency College Chennai campus that are Victoria Boys Hostel and College Ladies Hostel. The hostel provides a mess facility too. The hostel committee looks after the proper functioning of the hostel. It consists of the hostel warden and members nominated by the warden. The library committee keeps a record and maintains a check on the book that are available. Presidency College Admission
Presidency College UG admission procedure is merit-based which is calculated on the basis of marks secured in the 12th class. The prospective students are required to fill the admission application form as the 12th results are published. The student must submit the application form either manually in person at the college office or by mail to qualify for admission to the undergraduate programme. Students must, however, register on an online PG admission web portal in order to be considered for postgraduate admission. For admission to the MCA programme, Presidency College only accepts the results of one entrance test that is TANCET.

Presidency College Scholarship
Presidency College understands that students coming from various backgrounds may need financial assistance to pay their tuition. The Presidency College Council awards both full and partial scholarships. Presidency College Chennai scholarships are available to students enrolled in the college's B.A., B.Sc., B.Com, M.A., M.Sc., M.Com, and M.C.A. programmes. The maximum scholarships that are offered to students can not be more than 4 percent of the total strength of the college. At Presidency College other than institutional scholarships, students can apply for national or state level scholarships. It must be noted that a student can only avail one scholarship at a time. All PC Chennai scholarships are offered at the time of enrollment in any course and usually last until the completion of the course. They can, however, be revoked at the Principal's discretion.

The admission here is based on merits. You have to apply the form. and complete the procedure. The admission is purely based on merits. The eligibility for the course is -
