Established in the year 1997, Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology (SMIT) is a constituent institute of Sikkim Manipal University, Gangtok. SMIT Sikkim offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes which are approved by AICTE and UGC. SMIT Sikkim is NAAC A+ approved institution. Candidates need to appear for relevant entrance examination according to the choice of course. SMIT Sikkim Scholarships

Most of the Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology scholarships are offered to the BTech and MTech students only. The institute has dedicated scholarships for the students taking admission in BTech programme through lateral entry. In order to avail the SMIT Sikkim scholarships there is a certain set of eligibility criteria which need to be fulfilled by the candidates. The eligibility criteria of the scholarships are set by the institute only. According to the Sikkim Institute of Technology scholarship policy, students eligible for the BTech scholarships are given concession in the tution fees. SMIT Sikkim admissions are offered for a total number of eight undergraduate and postgraduate courses. SMIT Sikkim UG admissions for B.Tech, BCA, BSc., and BBA programme and PG admissions for M.Tech, M.Sc., MCA and MBA programme. As per Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology admission criteria, students need to fulfill the eligibility criteria and appear for the entrance examination (if required) to take admission in the desired course. SMIT Sikkim Scholarship

SMIT Sikkim scholarships are only offered to students who meet the eligibility criteria set by the college. Maximum number of scholarships are for BTech and MTech students only. Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology scholarships to BTech students are provided on the basis of marks obtained by them in 10+2 examination, immediate siblings of the already enrolled student and candidates sponsored by government. SMIT MTech scholarship is offered to top two students who obtained highest marks in GATE or SMIT entrance examination. Apart from this, SMIT Sikkim scholarships are also offered to the students from the financially weaker section of the society.
